My 2nd Month!

 One Healthy Boy!!

Tummy Time!

How I feel when dad leaves for work.

March 25th, 2012 Weston turned 2 months!!

Hard to believe that our sweet boy is already 2 months! It truly is amazing how fast time flies. That being said, I'm trying my best not to blink too long! Wes and I are enjoying every single second of life with this sweet blessing!

At 2 months....

Weston weighed 12lbs. 10oz at his 2 month checkup and was 22.5 inches!
He gained 10 oz in ONE week! He had gone in a week prior to his 2 mo. checkup due to a cold :/ but he was at least eating well!

Daily Schedule
Weston is such a good baby! He is staying awake a lot longer now, which I LOVE! I'm enjoying getting to know his sweet little personality more! He is already on a consistent schedule. He wakes up everyday around 5am to nurse then falls back asleep until 8am. He will nurse again at 8 and then he's up until his 10 o'clock nap. The morning is one of my favorite times with Weston. He is so snugly and sweet during this time! We usually read a bible story and then another book and listen to worship music together. He usually gets sleepy again around 10 and will sleep anywhere from 1-1 1/2 hours. Depending on when he wakes, he will nurse again and then will stay awake until around 1:30. His afternoon nap he sleeps a good 3 hours! He will nurse when he wakes usually around 4:30 or so and then we wait for Daddy to come home! He will nurse again around 7:30. He gets a bath every other day and then is in bed by 9:30-10pm every night!

Eating Habits
Weston is still nursing about every 3-4 hours during the day. He has been sleeping 6-7 consecutive hours at night, so he'll nurse before bed and then again around 5am! He's a good little burper too! He usually burps 3 times within the first 5 minutes after a feeding.

Things He Likes...
Weston is starting to enjoy his tummy time, IF kept short! He enjoys being rocked and still loves to be held very close when falling asleep. He's spending more time on his play mat and his bouncer seat, which he loves! He still enjoys his worship CD's and being sung too! He still likes his carseat and riding in the car looking out the window!

Discoveries
Weston has recently starting cooing and making new noises. He surprises himself with some of his pitches! He can push himself up while on his tummy. He has also discovered his tongue. He will stick it out a lot! He has started to suck on his hands and drool! He is recognizes our voices more and more, especially his Daddy's. He's known mine, but he's really starting to recognize Wes' voice!

Outings
Weston has had more lunch dates with Daddy and friends. He's been to the zoo. He's gone on walks. Helped Daddy train dogs. Gone to the golf course. Eaten at restaurants (Colton's Steakhouse and Midnight Owl in Arkansas, Jason's Deli, Ninfas, Wako Roll), and gone on some more Target trips.

My 1st Visit to the Zoo!

Friday, March 23rd Weston had his first visit to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco! We met Katie Gravens and her 6 month old, Abbie, along with Jenna Miller and her 3 year old, Kaylee! Weston slept through most of the visit, but he did like the orangutan, meerkats, giraffes, elephants, and wild turkey! Weston is such a sweet boy and does so well when we go on outings!

Here are some pictures with the orangutan!

My First Road Trip!!

Well, after weeks of sitting on the fence on whether to take Weston on a trip, we decided to fall on the ROAD TRIP side! Wes had planned to run Cutter in the Central Arkansas dog trial that Mark Miles was hosting, however, she came into heat 2 days prior to our trip! BUT...Mom and Rachel had planned to bring Grandaddy to Arkansas to meet Weston for the first time! This was SO worth a 7 hour drive with an infant!

and we're off...to a good start...Weston was asleep within 5 minutes of driving!

Wes took off work a little early on Thursday, March 15th, and we were on I-35 by 4:00pm! I nursed Weston right before strapping him in is carseat and we made it south of Texarkana before our 1st stop...not bad! Little did we know our next stop wouldn't be until we reached Mark and Roxanne's house at 11:00pm! I had been very nervous about this experience, but much to my surprise it was way better than expected! Weston did great! He wasn't even fussy despite being in his carseat for 4 hours at a time! I will say that poor boy was sucking on his fists before that 11:00pm arrival!

Wes and Roxanne set up the Pack N Play while I fed Weston! Let me just say, this was hysterical to watch! We hadn't ever set up the Pack N Play before and Wes doesn't do well with putting things together! Not to mention, tthey were trying to be quiet because Mark was already sleeping. I had the lights dim for Weston and Roxanne couldn't see to read the directions and of course Wes wouldn't read them, apparently when men read directions it hurts their manhood! SO, I ended up reading the directions as I watched them put it together! =) They did get it assembled though!

Friday Wes woke up early and went to help Mark shoot birds at the trial, Roxanne went to work, and Weston and I slept in and relaxed! Meanwhile, Mom, Rachel, and Grandad were heading our direction!! Roxanne came home around lunchtime and she and I went to lunch at a cute coffee house called, Midnight Owl. Weston did well right up until my last bite...then he came unglued! He went to hollaring! I calmed him down by walking into a cute children's shop and picking him out an Easter outfit! Roxanne left to show a house and Weston and I returned home to wait for Great-Grandad!
5:00pm they arrived and Weston and I headed over to the La Quinta to greet them!! He was SO excited to see his Nonnie, his Aunt Rachel, and meet his Great Grandad for the first time!

Such a Treasured time!

It was bitter sweet without having my Nanny sitting beside Grandad, but I know she's sitting beside our Savior and smiling down!!

I shed a few tears, okay, more than a few, as I thanked God for this opportunity! I will never forget that special day! I'm thankful that Grandad was able to make the drive and that Mom and Rachel were willing to bring him! We LOVE you Grandad and are SO thankful for you!

Here are some more pictures from our stay in Searcy, Arkansas...
