April 25th...Happy 3 Month, Weston!

April 25th marked Weston's 3 month birthday! Sweet boy is growing and sharing more and more of his precious little personality! We couldn't love him more!

Daily Schedule:

Wakes up anywhere between 5:30-6:30am and nurses. He will either go right back to sleep or sometimes plays for a hour or so, then falls back asleep around 7:30. He will then sleep until around 9:30-10:00 and want to nurse again. He will play hard until he's ready for a short nap, usually from 11:00-11:45. He will nurse anywhere between 12:30-1:30. He will enjoy some tummy time, sit in his bouncer, play on his playmat, watch his favorite Bible action songs DVD, and smile at mama! He typically takes a long 3 hr afternoon nap! He has been sleeping from about 2-5. He will stay up after that until his 8 o'clock bath time! Our nightly routine is to read "I Couldn't love you more" and one of his Bible stories and/or Bedtime Prayer book, take a bath, nurse, burp and rock, then straight to bed. He's in bed every night by 9pm. He's such a dream when it comes to night time! He goes down for night-night so easily!

Eating Habits:

Weston is still eating every 3 hours, in fact sometimes we're back to every 2, must be a growth spurt! He's still a strong  eater! Since he's sleeping through the night, he has to make up for those missed meals during the day...which he's good at doing! =) He's so sweet when he nurses, he will wrap one arm around me and the other hand is up by his hear just rubbing his head and ear! ADORABLE! He almost always closes his little eyes during each feeding too!

Things Weston Likes...
-sucking on his fist and/or thumb, much more recently!
-the soothie paci! (we like too, cause we can see him sucking, too cute)
-baths
-being rocked
-cuddling
-being read to
-being sung too
-his action bible dvd
-his praise baby cd
-taking walks
-sitting on the porch
-his bouncer
-his playmat
-lights
-fans
-blankets
-toys with noise!

His sweet "soothie" paci!

Precious toes

Discoveries:
-Weston has been sucking his thumb for a while, but he's started to really suck either his thumb and pointer finger or his whole fist!
-He has really started discovering his voice and cooing a LOT! He is communicating so much more!
-Recognizing mama and daddy every time and our voices!
-Smiling much more!
-Able to grip things now!
-Sorta starting to reach for stuff!
-He's getting better neck control during "tummy time"
-Has rescued his own paci several times, but it's been total luck! Still cute to see though!
-Hasn't rolled over yet, but he's sure rockin' back n forth well!

What we call, "The Weston!" This is what he does when he's nursing or sleeping! So stinkin' cute!

I love my job!

Weston's "coo face" He gets these little dimples on his upper lip when he's talking!!

Relaxing on his playmat with his "bun-bun!"

Chunkster!

Weston, just like the title of our favorite book for you, "WE COULDN'T LOVE YOU MORE," You bring so much JOY to me and daddy! You are a sweet sweet blessing and gift!

Another visit from our friends the Millers!

We invited Mark, Jenna, and sweet little Kaylee over for dinner last night! We always enjoy their company. I think Kaylee enjoys getting to see Weston and ride the horses too! They have been such good friends to us, we are really going to miss our time with them.

After enjoying some pizza and salad we let Kaylee sit on Zan, bareback! She is such a lil' cowgirl at heart! She even got to help Wes brush and spray them! Jenna helped me give Weston a bath and get him ready for bed too!

We love the Miller family!

Lifes a Dance

While on a walk with Weston today enjoying the beautiful sunshine and listening to the birds chirping, neighbors mowing, and watching little butterflies flutter around, I was reminded that "lifes a dance." Just like the John Michael Montgomery song says, "lifes a dance, ya learn as you go, sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow!"

We often question things that arise in life and we become fearful or anxious about things. However, God wants us to give EVERYTHING over to Him. He suffered so that we don't have to. He bore the weight of the cross to set us free. He longs for us to know everything about Him. As Wes and I are in a transitioning stage and preparing to move back "home" to Tennessee we have lots on our plates. Jobs? home? finances? school for Weston? etc. etc. etc. Thinking about this song, made me smile and just realize that we have to take each day as it is and not worry about tomorrow or yesterday. Our life is in God's hand and He has a plan for our family! Whew! Why do we even worry and sweat when we know that our God will never leave nor forsake us? There will always be bumps in the road, but like the song says, "you learn as you go!" Those bumps are what build character in us and make us stronger. I know for me when I look back on some of the tough times I've endured, I see, now, how God has used those times to glorify Him more! BUT, I must be willing to allow that!

Lord we want to give all we have to YOU! Teach and mold us along the roads of this life!

Just Like Daddy!!

Nothing brings me more joy than to look at my sweet little boys face and see his daddy!! From the minute Weston was born our Doctor, Dr. Wang, looked at me and said, "Oh! He looks just like Wes!" He especially did at birth, but still does! His mannerisms are even like his daddy!

He has his daddy's beautiful blue eyes, his daddy's cow licks on the front and back of his head, his daddy's square feet, his daddy's nose, his daddy's mouth-wide-open-grin, his daddy's chubby little fingers, and he doesn't miss a meal...ALL JUST LIKE DADDY!

Weston loves it when daddy comes home from work! We make a big production about daddy coming home! We both greet him on the porch with arms wide open! Soon Weston will be big enough to stand at the window and listen for that diesel hum and run to greet his daddy!

I am so blessed to have two of the most wonderful men in my life, my precious husband and my precious baby boy! We have an awesome God! A God who loves us SO much that He allows us to experience such great things, such as family!

"Dad! You're the best!"

"YaHoo, Dad's Home!!!"

My 2 boys! Couldn't be more grateful for each of you!
I am very thankful for a husband that loves the Lord and that wants to teach and model a Godly lifestyle for our son! What a great example Weston has in his Daddy! We love you Wes!

My prayer is that God continues to give Wes strength to lead (Joshua 1:7), and that God would bless his work and show him daily how to honor You in his attitude and spirit (Psalm 90:16-17, Daniel 6).

Thank you Aunt Mo and Uncie Robb!

Weston and I had been out to lunch with Wes and found a sweet surprise in our mailbox today...a gift from Aunt Mo and Uncie Robb!! Weston was super excited! Morgan had her mom sew Weston 3 different onsies and a sweet monogrammed bib! We LOVED them! Thanks Aunt Mo, Uncie Robb, and Mrs.  Hamm!! Weston's cousins, Mary Layne, Doss, Mac, and Pate also have the sailboat onsie...how cute they will all be this summer in their matching onsies!!

Weston is ready to meet his cousins and his Aunt Mo and Uncie Robb! We love you guys!! Thanks so much for your thoughtful gift!!!

Adorable! Thanks again!

Our Little SONshine!

As if I haven't said it enough, I LOVE BEING A MOM! I love every second I've had at home with Weston these past 11 weeks. I love holding him close and rocking him to sleep! I love taking him outside to talk to the horses! I love watching him suck his thumb, or watching him suck on his little green paci. I love hearing his coos! I love watching that adorable toothless grin! I love reading to him! I love singing to him! I love bathing him! I love taking pictures of him! I literally could stare at him all day long...and I do! I love it all!

Thank you Jesus for loving us so much to allow us to experience this awesome gift of parenthood! What a tremendous gift and blessing! Weston has brought so much JOY to our marriage, our life, and our family! May we never forget God's unfailing love for us! May we be able to show Weston that he has a Father that LOVES him even more than Mommy and Daddy do and that longs for a relationship with him. We pray that Weston comes to know Jesus at the earliest possible age.

Here are some recent pictures of our little SONshine! He is sharing more and more of his little personality, and we are soaking it up!

"Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!"
